- 1 lb ground beef 450g — can substitute with ground turkey
- 2 cups marinara sauce 480ml — your favorite brand or homemade
- 1 cup ricotta cheese 240g — or cottage cheese for a lighter version
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese 170g — plus extra for topping
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese 50g
- 1 large egg — helps bind the cheese filling
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning — adds authentic flavor
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish optional
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Cook the ground beef over medium heat in a skillet until browned. Drain excess fat.

Layer the casserole:Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the dish.Arrange half of the ravioli over the sauce.Spread half of the cheese mixture over the ravioli.Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining meat sauce and sprinkling with extra mozzarella on top. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
